How to read these renames
- Core Naming Rule: Customer-Facing Rebrands vs. Underlying Technical Identifiers Across almost all 2024–2026 Google Cloud rebrands, only the customer-facing product, console UI, and documentation names changed. Underlying REST/gRPC APIs, gcloud CLI commands, client library packages, IAM roles, and Terraform resources retain their legacy identifiers for backward compatibility.
- Certification Exam, Documentation & Course Continuity Principle In the vast majority of rebrands, the underlying service functionality, architectural patterns, and exam-testable concepts remain identical—only the name has changed. Official documentation and certification exams often lag behind rebrand announcements.
